Zen is built with privacy as a fundamental principle, not an afterthought. We believe that conversations about anxiety and mental wellness are deeply personal, and you should never have to worry about who might see them.

How Zen Protects Your Privacy

Zen uses Apple Intelligence, Apple's on-device AI technology, to power all conversations with Sage. This means:

• All AI processing happens locally on your iPhone
• Your conversations never leave your device
• No internet connection is required for AI features
• We have no ability to read or access your conversations
• There are no servers storing your personal data

Information We DON'T Collect

Zen does not collect:

• Your conversations with Sage
• Personal information (names, emails, phone numbers)
• Health or mood data
• Location data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Usage analytics or tracking data

Information Stored on Your Device

Zen stores the following information locally on your device:

• Your conversation history with Sage (never transmitted)
• Your profile settings and preferences
• Session history and progress
• App settings

This data is stored using Apple's secure on-device storage and never leaves your device.

Apple Health Integration

If you choose to enable Apple Health integration:

• Mindful minutes are logged to your Health app
• State of Mind (mood) data can be tracked
• This data is stored in Apple Health on your device
• We cannot access your Apple Health data
• Apple's Health privacy policies apply

Voice Features

When using voice input or speech output:

• Speech recognition is processed on-device by Apple
• Text-to-speech is generated on-device
• No audio is transmitted to external servers
